About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a financial institution location in Madison, WI. You will manage visitor and employee access, issue and monitor badges, respond to alarm panel activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents. This role combines customer-focused communication with computer-based access control responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access-control records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership, and complete detailed reports for incidents, access-control activity, and daily operations.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
