Security Officer Access Control Day Shift

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Kutztown, PA, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help support a secure, well-managed environment. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and other security-related policies at an industrial location.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and/or badge access points to help control authorized entry and exit of personnel, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Document visitor activity, access requests, and/or incident details in logs and reports while maintaining clear communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated access points, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
