Security Officer - Access Control Compliance

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Control Compliance in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and assist with access-related inquiries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns to appropriate contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, controlled areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments may vary by client site.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions through required reports and communication channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.
