Security Officer Access Control

About the role

This part-time enhanced security officer position offers a fixed-shift commitment at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles in accordance with site requirements
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and support security-related procedures
• Assist with monitoring inbound and outbound traffic, including trailers, packages, and delivery vehicles, while following site-specific reporting and escalation protocols

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour. Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM. This role requires a six (6) month commitment to the assigned site and weekly shift.
