Security Officer - Access Control
About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control in Muskegon, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer patrolling a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to all persons on site by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to support site personnel during critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, noting and reporting suspicious activity and/or potential hazards.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access as directed by site policies, and help to document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity.
- Complete routine reports and communicate observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
Customer service skills, ability to respond calmly to incidents, and strong communication and customer service skills.
