Security Officer - Access Control

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer - Access Control in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as residential properties. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth access for residents, guests, and staff. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and/or delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow at gates and common access areas while supporting a professional and courteous residential experience.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Guard card or license (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.00 / hour

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Day shifts: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
