Security Officer Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Control in Longmont, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, report observations, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, production, laboratory, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit for authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
