Security Officer - Access Control

About the role
As a Security Officer Access Log Administration in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and credentialed access to help support authorized entry to a technology, media, and telecommunications-related location.
- Verify visitor, vendor, and contractor credentials; issue and collect access badges and/or visitor passes in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
