About the Role
As a Security Officer Access Control Alarm Response in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour
Schedule: DayTime, Monday–Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Have access control and badge experience (preferred).
- Have alarm panel experience (preferred).
- Possess a guard card or license (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
