About the role
This position plays an important part in creating a calm, safe, and orderly setting at Wernersville State Hospital. The work helps safeguard people, property, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Facility Patrol: Monitor tunnels, buildings, and grounds to identify safety hazards, unauthorized persons, and unusual conditions
- Traffic Control: Enforce vehicle regulations, maintain orderly parking, and support proper traffic flow on hospital property
- Assistance Service: Escort or help visitors, consumers, and staff by providing directions, support, and safe movement
- Emergency Response: Assist with searches, incident investigations, and coordination with emergency services
- Report Completion: Document daily activities, incidents, and observations according to established procedures
- Operational Support: Perform inspections, deliver items, and assist with communication center coverage when needed
Qualifications
- Special Requirement: Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license
- Other Requirements: Meet the PA residency requirement

Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work schedule: 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with varied days off and two 15-minute breaks. Works every other weekend. Schedule may change based on operational needs.

Pay
Starting annual salary of $38,515.00 (before taxes).
