As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition reports, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, process areas, buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report access-control irregularities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the location.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
