About the Role
The Security Monitor will support our best-in-class security services across operational and support functions at assigned locations. This role provides observational support and security solutions, assisting Site Supervisors (SS’s) with direct-action security management, including internal and external theft prevention. The Monitor builds collaborative relationships with operations partners, environmental & safety, compliance, and human resources teams to maintain facility integrity. Responsibilities include assisting with investigations related to company assets, facility security, personal security, damage reports, external theft, internal shrinkage, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Supervisor (SS) in planning, tasking, managing, reporting, investigating, and resolving quarterly directives and objectives.
- Support security directives with State Production and Cultivation teams as needed.
- Assist SS and support leaders in nurturing area security norms, policies, and rules, monitoring activities, and proactively planning security dynamics.
- Participate in day-to-day monitoring for physical security, countermeasures, and safety operations for all properties, offices, security services, business partners, and vendors.
- Maintain accountability of administrative reports and review processes regularly for effectiveness, recommending changes as needed.
- Ensure processes align with regional or national objectives and communicate effectively with the SS.
- Review complex events and operations to ensure continuity and sustain customer service and professionalism.
- Track investigation numbers, investigations, and outcomes, providing incident reports, briefings, and after-action recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor site security and safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support the Regional Security Director’s vision and act as a cultural leader to empower the security plan.
- Monitor staff adherence to security protocols (SOPs) and guidelines, including access control, visitor management, fire/life safety, event security, incident response, and emergency preparedness training.
- Monitor security and threat management programs to support employee safety and the protection of physical assets.
- Regularly report risks to the SS.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and complete directives as assigned.
- Solid knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
- Basic project management skills with a focus on achieving results.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to establish trust.
- Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation.
- Complex problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must complete semiannual security training, which may occur after hours or on weekends, facilitated by Trulieve at no cost to the employee.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background record check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a height of 5 feet and transport such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Able to work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Visual acuity (with or without job aids) to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
- Able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc., in moderate noise environments.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to enable these senses to meet position requirements.
Schedule
45+ hours per week, with availability for "after hours" and occasional weekends as necessary.
