Cypress Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Security Manager to join our team! Salaried Role Full time Primarily Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm with weekend and evening oversight expected. $56-$60k We are seeking an experienced, principled, and decisive Security Manager to lead our security operations. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, well-being, and peace of mind of our residents, staff, and property. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, technical aptitude, and sound judgment, and is ready to take ownership of both people and systems in a high-stakes environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, train and hold accountable security supervisors and officers; set the tone for professionalism, integrity, and serviceBuild schedules, oversee timekeeping, approve payroll, and manage labor costsAddress performance issues promptly and fairly; coach for growthServe as the primary point of escalation during incidents or emergencies Operations & Administration Review, approve, and reconcile accounts payable invoices related to security services and service callsManage contracts and vendor relationships for security systems and servicesDevelop and enforce security policies, SOPs, and post ordersConduct audits, drills, and incident reviewsProduce clear incident reports, metrics, and executive summaries, as requestedServe as on-scene leader until relieved by emergency responders Problem Solving & Decision-Making Independently assess situations, identify root causes, and implement practical solutionsMake sound judgment calls under pressure and adjust plans as conditions changeAnticipate risks and proactively improve security processes Security Systems & Technology Understand and troubleshoot security system equipment, including:Access control systems (key fobs, smart keys, smart locks)Alarm systems and monitoring platformsCamera systems (CCTV / IP cameras)Coordinate installations, repairs, and upgrades; verify work qualityMaintain system documentation and access permissionsProvide basic IT troubleshooting support to the security team (network connectivity, device issues, user access)Work effectively with internal IT or external vendors on escalated technical issues Critical Risk & Emergency Management Lead preparedness and response for:Elopement prevention and rapid responseFire safety and evacuation proceduresSevere weather / hurricanesActive shooter / violent incidentsTrespass and unauthorized accessConduct drills, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in security leadership or managementDemonstrated ability to solve problems independently and lead through ambiguityStrong understanding of security systems, access control, alarms, and monitoringWorking knowledge of payroll, labor management, and accounts payableBasic IT troubleshooting skills (hardware, software, access systems)Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-through skillsRequired security license(s) and ability to maintain them EEO Employer https://info.flclearinghouse.com
