About the role

The Security Manager provides security and safety by patrolling multifamily properties, guarding against theft, vandalism, violence, or other threats to the company, residents, tenants, or patrons. This role manages staff and is assigned to locations of greater complexity based on factors like property location, budget, crime rate, and property size.

Responsibilities

• Patrols multifamily property(ies) to ensure safety and security, monitors property activity, provides customer service, accepts deliveries, and patrols assigned areas (50%).
• Reviews incident and claim reports involving fraud, assault, injury, or crimes (20%).
• Leads and manages employees, including scheduling, recruitment, hiring, training, development, accountability, corrective action, and termination. Completes performance evaluations for supervised employees (20%).
• Updates security procedures (5%).
• Participates in the safety program (5%).
• Acts as the first respondent and manager of life safety systems within buildings, handling faults, trouble alarms, fire panel repairs, and communication with the monitoring company.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in Security Management or equivalent (Required).
