About the role
The Security Manager oversees the safety and security of all CFBNJ facilities, assets, equipment, personnel, and visitors. This role manages security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive work attitude by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to good interpersonal relations with customers, the public, co-workers, and managers, in accordance with CFBNJ's mission.
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, federal, and Feeding America food safety requirements.
- Manage Security Department scheduling and training.
- Conduct and prepare reports relating to internal investigations of losses or violations of CFBNJ regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in preparation of emergency management and contingency planning.
- Annually review and audit all security processes and procedures to ensure safety policies are maintained.
- Regularly conduct physical security inspections of all facilities, including security equipment condition and operation.
- Conduct searches of premises, including vehicles, as required by CFBNJ security policy and procedures.
- Assist with security issues regarding associates, such as procedures for terminations and violations of company policy, including theft and violence situations.
- Assist with incidents involving public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as they relate to security at CFBNJ or CFBNJ associates.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in managing a safety and security department.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking to review and solve issues as they arise.
- Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different departmental needs.
- Proficient data entry skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, as required by security operations.
- Availability to respond to alarm/emergency situations with short notice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $64,271–$86,955. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
