About the Role
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is ranked #2 in the St. Louis metro area by U.S. News & World Report.
The Facilities Services Department provides security, telecommunications, housekeeping, maintenance, and engineering services for the campus, ensuring all buildings, parking lots/garages, patient care, and common areas are well maintained, clean, attractive, and secure.
Schedule & Details
- Full-time - 40 hours per week
- Day shift - 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (flexible)
- Shift start time range: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- Weekend rotation/shift required
- Paid security academy training
- Must attend BJC Public Safety training academy (6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., 4 weeks)

Responsibilities
- Must be 21 years or older to work in this position
- Completes in-depth investigations and security surveys
- Implements strategies to minimize recurring incidents
- Completes follow-up and documentation of all incidents (e.g., crimes against persons, crimes against property, policy violations, safety issues)
- Provides training to the security department on topics assigned by the manager
- Develops training materials on security-specific topics for various audiences
- Ensures equipment issued and used during duties is properly maintained
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2–5 years of experience in Security/Investigations
- No supervisory experience required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- IAHSS certification
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification
- PPCT/PD - PSA (where applicable)
- Compliance with applicable government regulations
Preferred Requirements
- Associate’s Degree
- ASP Baton Certification
