About the role

M.C. Dean is seeking a Security Installation Project Manager (Deputy Project Leader) to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall administration, organization, and implementation of large electronic security installation projects.
  • Manage the overall financial performance of the project(s) to ensure on-time completion.
  • Coordinate and run project kick-off meetings (PKOM).
  • Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
  • Order materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare price proposals, change orders, and monthly reports analyzing budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures, quality improvement, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Attend job walks and regularly visit sites to monitor progress and quality.
  • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (preferred Electrical Engineering or industry-related degree) with 5+ years of experience.
  • Five years of construction experience working for an electrical or construction contractor.
  • Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
  • Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling and design techniques for precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organize activities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF software.

Preferred Skills

  • Accubid Estimating (or equivalent) for electrical installations.
  • Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling experience (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.

Pay

USD $114,640.00 - USD $143,300.00 per year.
