About the role

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Project Management to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. In this role, you will lead and implement multiple projects spanning cyber security, AI technology, physical security, and insider risk through the entire project management lifecycle. You will develop and execute project strategies aligned with the firm’s AI initiative, manage detailed project schedules and resource plans, and ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement multiple projects—including cyber security, AI technology, physical security, and insider risk—throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Complete all aspects of project planning, requirements gathering, budgeting, system implementation, testing, and execution, including change and release management.
  • Develop and implement project strategies to align with the firm’s AI initiative, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage a detailed project schedule and resource plan, facilitate team meetings with stakeholders (including technical experts in our Digital Nexus organization), publish meeting notes and action items, and ensure work is completed ahead of key deadlines.
  • Update project documents and systems, and facilitate post-project or phase reviews.
  • Adhere to and contribute to project management standards, processes, and governance, including tools and reporting.
  • Communicate project status, proactively monitor risks, issues, and overall project health, and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Escalate projects at risk to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish positive and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrating a clear understanding of internal and external requirements and success criteria.
  • Integrate and align with other departmental processes and solutions.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of recent, relevant project management experience in security disciplines such as physical, personnel, and cyber security, along with experience in compliance and risk management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience). PMP certification is preferred.
  • Project management experience implementing IT and AI applications using industry best practices and methodologies, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid.
  • Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and work streams from planning to delivery using a variety of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to stay current with the latest security regulatory requirements, technologies, controls, practices, techniques, and threats.
  • Experience leading projects within various security disciplines, such as IT, compliance, security awareness, training, physical, personnel, insider risk, and cyber security.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of responsibility and authority.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this role is determined based on factors such as applicant skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
