About the role
The candidate will join a skilled team of technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of Access Control systems, CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television), and Burglar Alarm systems. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the technician team to install and configure Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar Alarm systems at client sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Respond to service requests from the client’s primary account in the Memphis area, independently managing the entire lifecycle of a service call.
- Assess and troubleshoot issues with security systems, identifying root causes quickly and accurately.
- Develop and apply effective solutions through repair, replacement, or reconfiguration of system components.
- Perform technical fixes, adjustments, and system testing to restore full functionality.
- Ensure all work is documented, verified, and signed off by the customer, leaving systems fully operational and clients satisfied.
Skills
- Security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Burglar Alarms)
- Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Cabling (Cat5, low voltage, cable installation)
- Fire alarm systems (installation, programming, and service)
- Low voltage communications
- Preventive maintenance on low voltage systems
- Electrical troubleshooting using testing devices
- Compliance with electrical and fire safety codes
Qualifications
- Experience with installation, programming, and service of access control and fire alarm systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proper maintenance and care of equipment.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
