About the role

As a Security Guard Unarmed - Site Support in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery areas in accordance with site requirements; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office, data, parking, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing clear directions, assisting with access-related questions, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

$14.00 / Hour

• Friday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
