Security Guard - Unarmed Access
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed by site procedures, and report any access concerns or policy violations.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating with staff, assisting with directions and/or general questions, and completing assigned reports related to security-related activities.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
