Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Surveillance

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, studios, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, credential verification, and reporting of suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
