Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and restricted locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders, escalating security‑related concerns through appropriate channels.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of security‑related experience.
• Guard card required.
• Valid driver’s license required (per Allied Universal driver policy).
• At least 21+ years of age for armed role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
