About the role

As an Unarmed Mobile Patrol Security Guard in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe store activity for unusual conditions, reporting potential security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing directions, supporting loss prevention protocols, and documenting incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.75 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday: 05:00 AM - 10:00 AM
