About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Pulaski, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the property perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
• Communicate observed hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established reporting procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
