About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Hopewell, VA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect personnel, property, operations, or the environment, while following applicable site rules and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Day: Saturday, 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Night: Sunday, 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
