About the Role
Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and company assets while performing duties in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and promote company-wide culture and demonstrate service standards at all times.
- Respond to and assist in all emergencies, patrolling assigned areas or standing at posts to observe and preserve order.
- Respond to disturbances to defuse situations, including physical confrontations when necessary.
- Remain alert, observe, report, and take action on suspicious or unusual situations and undesirable guests.
- Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
- Document all incidents in detailed reports relating to property, guests, and team members.
- Act as a role model, maintaining high personal integrity, moral conduct, and professional appearance.
- Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and procedures for enforcement.
- Prevent indecent or prohibited behavior, warn guests of infractions, and assist in ejections as needed.
- Follow safety and emergency protocols, including testifying in court when required.
- When assigned to screening and checkpoints, follow best practices to ensure venue safety.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in the security field preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
- Working knowledge of the hospitality industry.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must not have been convicted of any crime requiring registration.
- Experience or training in ID checks, incident reporting, and CPR is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Work indoors and/or outdoors, including exposure to high temperatures, heat, sun, and environmental factors like second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
- Ability to work in loud, smoke-filled environments with flashing or strobe lights.
- Tasks may involve standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in small or confined areas and withstand varying temperatures (hot, cold, or noisy conditions).
- Constant contact with guests and team members, including the use of portable radios and headsets.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
