Security Guard Temporary Shelter

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Guard in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service in a supportive community setting. You will communicate professionally, document observations, and respond to site needs with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help maintain an orderly environment.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
