What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted locations for unusual activity, and report maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or potential hazards according to post procedures.
• Support daily operations by verifying access permissions, providing directions, assisting with visitor processing, and completing required reports related to security-related events and observations.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
