Security Guard Patrol Officer Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and/or vendors while following site-specific visitor and identification procedures.
• Support Allied Universal and site personnel during medical-related, fire alarm, and/or emergency situations by communicating clearly and assisting with directed response actions.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
