Security Guard Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence at the location and communicate observations, concerns, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
