Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report security-related concerns, and document routine observations, incidents, and/or policy-related issues according to site guidelines.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine concerns, and following post orders related to restricted areas, after-hours activity, and/or emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
