Security Guard Patrol and Customer Service

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, assist with crowd and queue management during busy business periods, and communicate with store personnel and/or management regarding security-related concerns.
• Complete routine logs, incident documentation, and other required reports while maintaining a professional presence and providing assistance to customers and employees as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
