As a Part‑Time Unarmed CPR Response Patrol Security Guard in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as aerospace and defense, monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security‑related activities while maintaining confidentiality of site information.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
