About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming, secure environment for individuals, families, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

$18.87 / hour

- Tuesday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Friday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Saturday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Sunday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
