Security Guard Part Time Patrol Housing Facility

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a welcoming care-focused location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency personnel and/or site management as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist authorized individuals while maintaining a respectful and supportive presence appropriate for a human services location.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal and site personnel.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
