About the role
As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol License Qualified in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with visitors and staff. You will contribute to a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, routine patrols, and timely reporting. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
- Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate clearly with site representatives, supervisors, and responding agencies.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
