As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to deliver responsive customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting required information.
- Assist with access control, customer and associate assistance, and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Pay and Schedule
- Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
- Job Schedule: DayTime, Fri 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sat 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM
