Security Guard Part Time Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a public transportation location in Tacoma, WA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and commuters. This driving post offers the opportunity to respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report potential hazards, maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic public-facing environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Pay

$28.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thursday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Friday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
