About the role

As a Part-Time Security Guard Patrol Alarm Verification in Charlotte, NC at an Amazon Warehouse, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This unarmed role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting access and alarm-related activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$18.36 / hour

• Monday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
