Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following hospital protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain clear communication with hospital staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
