As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Deployment in Fairfax, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate
$21.74 / Hour
Job Schedule
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

About the Role

Qualifications
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
