About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation environment in San Francisco, CA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to employees and the public.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government transportation facilities and surrounding public areas.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-related areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe public areas for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns; report observations through established channels.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while interacting professionally with diverse members of the public.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$27.95 / Hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
