About the role

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance Officer in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
