About the Role
BAART Program is looking for a respectful, alert, and vigilant greeter/patient care monitor to maintain the overall safety and order of the clinic facility. This role may also provide backup coverage to the receptionist.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the protection of all employees and patients.
- Verify that each patient entering the building has an I.D.
- Create an orderly waiting line; have patients stand in single file while waiting to receive medication.
- Perform crowd control (ensure patients leave the clinic timely after dosing unless they have an appointment).
- Eliminate loitering and congregating in the parking lot and premises.
- Report critical incidents occurring in the parking lot or on premises; contact local authorities and cooperate in emergencies as needed.
- Respond to calls for assistance in preventing interference or disruption of operations (maintain order and control).
- Report and document incidents whenever trouble or problems occur to the Operations Director and/or Clinic Director.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the building, protecting property from damage and destruction.
- Perform security checks of the facility at regular intervals throughout the day.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain professional attire at all times, including name badge and identification as a Security Guard.
- Be friendly, courteous, and helpful to all staff, including reception, clinical, and medical teams.
- Provide receptionist coverage as needed.
- Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year’s prior experience in an office/clinic setting.
- Training from a law enforcement school or other security training is strongly preferred.
- Able to establish a positive rapport with patients and demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward chemically dependent individuals.
- Satisfactory drug screen and background check.
