Healthcare Security Guard
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with staff and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, helping to manage visitor flow, observe for unauthorized access, and support a professional environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with security-related requests such as escorting individuals, providing directions, and reporting maintenance or environmental concerns that could impact daily operations.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Must possess customer service experience.
