Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Alarm Monitoring

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time unarmed security guard for alarm monitoring in Newark, CA. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will support commercial real estate and logistics distribution locations by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points and alarm activity, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property areas, distribution facilities, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials or delivery authorization as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• At least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred
• Alarm panel experience preferred
• Access control and badge experience preferred

Pay and schedule

• Pay Rate: $23.60 / Hour
• Schedule: Tue 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Wed 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Thu 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
