Security Officer Unarmed Full Time Patrol Alarm Monitoring

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location in Sandston, VA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will maintain a visible presence, respond to alarms and emerging situations, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when required.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
