Security Guard Full Time Armed Patrol Presence

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transportation facilities, vehicle areas, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when assigned, and report unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal procedures.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
