About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transportation facilities, vehicle areas, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when assigned, and report unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required firearms qualifications and carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal procedures.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.57 / hour

- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
