About the role
As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment for patients, visitors, and staff while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
Requirements
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
- Hold CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Wednesday: 07:30 AM - 08:00 PM
- Thursday: 07:30 AM - 08:00 PM
- Friday: 07:30 AM - 05:00 PM
